Sparkling
Beaded Headband Hair ties
Learning
how to make these
beaded headband hair ties is as easy as stringing beads. They
will give any hairstyle a shimmering sparkle.
Add as many hair ties as you like to your
hair style
|
Tools:
12 to 15
inches of necklace memory wire (depending on head size)
1 pack of
multicolored glass bugle beads
1 pack of E
beads (large 6/0 or 5/0 beads)
Wire
cutters
Needle-nosed
pliers
Step 1:
Measure
distance from ear to ear. Always cut extra wire, it's
best
to have too much wire as opposed to not enough. It's easier to cut
extra wire off, but you can't add it on if you find yourself short.
Step 2:
Use
the needle-nosed pliers and loop one end
of the wire.
Step 3:
Slide 3 to
4 bugle beads onto the wire, then an E bead (Large 6/0 or
5/0 bead). Continue in this manner until there is only 1 inch
of unbeaded wire.
Step
4:
Finish
by looping the end of the wire with the needle-nosed
pliers. Make a few headband hair ties to decorate your hairstyle.
To
create a cool natural hairstyle, follow these steps:
Step 1:
Start with
damp, towel-dried hair. Use a sculpting cream to
make your hair look a little messy, separate the strands.
Step 2:
Work the
sculpting cream through your hair.
Step 3:
With your
hair dryer on high, dry your hair using your fingers
to shape your hairstyle.
Step
4: Place
the first headband hair tie at the crown of your head.
Step
6: If
you need to, secure small sections of hair at the crown with hair pins
to hold the hair and give it height. Finish off with hair spray.
Step
7: Place
other headband hair ties in front of the first. You can criss cross
them, making them uneven if you like. 4 - 6 of these beaded
head
bands work well as an interesting and functional hair tie.
